She has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. Her flowers and leaves are commonly brewed into teas or tonics.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShe’s known in English as ‘Gumdiggers Soap’ because her flowers create a natural lather or foam when mixed with water, which the early kauri gum diggers used as soap.
