Ruru/Moreporks our special native NZ owl are one of my favourite birds to spot in the bush. I love the way they can tilt their heads as if they are asking a question and I wanted to capture that curious expression in this piece. This particular painting has also been used as the cover art for the 4th issue of Coromind magazine.
