I painted this piece 4 years ago when my heart was feeling heavy. My intention was to visualize something that reminded me of the eternal nature of our souls- how we transcend this physical reality & that painful experiences are always a call to go within. This artwork recently resurfaced on instagram after being shared by some visionary art accounts. I love this Maya Angelou quote that was shared with it -

You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.”
