The original painting was based of a reference image I took while spending a day walking up Driving Creek. There were plenty of fantails around and I decided it would be fitting to add one in.
This is quite a famous area in Coromandel, the creek runs alongside the road opposite Barry Brickell's Driving Creek Railway.
