Kingfisher/Kōtare by The Creek

It's been a long time since I painted a Kōtare (Sacred Kingfisher). My partner came across one in a creek a few months ago and captured this scene on video, which inspired the whole piece. I loved capturing this one, perched in the sunshine. We have many of them around the peninsula.
